Hamas condemns 'treacherous' killing of Larijani, lauds his support for Palestine Hamas on Wednesday condemned the “treacherous” Israeli strike on Tehran that killed Iran's national security chief Ali Larijani, his son and several others. Praising Larijani’s support for the Palestinian cause, the group extended condolences to Iran’s leadership and people, calling the attack a “flagrant aggression” against Iran. "As we mourn Mr. Ali Larijani and all the martyrs who ascended in the brutal zionist-American aggression, we recall with full appreciation his honorable positions in supporting the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of our people," the group said.  Hamas said it stood in solidarity with Iran, accusing Israel and the United States of escalating tensions in the region.

Israeli strikes hit eastern Lebanon towns, killing civilians Israeli forces struck multiple locations across Lebanon, including the eastern Bekaa Valley and central Beirut, according to local media reports. Al Jazeera reported that air raids hit the towns of Sahmar and Yahmar in the Bekaa Valley, with Sahmar reportedly targeted twice within hours. Additional strikes were reported overnight in Beirut and southern Lebanon. Iranian missiles damage buildings, cars in central Israel Buildings and cars were damaged in the central Israeli city of Holon following an Iranian missile attack, the Israeli Civil Defence said. Authorities said teams were responding to reports of explosive warheads falling in several areas of central Israel. Israeli strikes kill 17 across Beirut and southern Lebanon Lebanon’s Ministry of Health said Israeli attacks killed six people in Beirut and another 11 in raids on southern and eastern parts of the country, with nine others wounded. Strikes were also reported in the town of Al Aqibya in the Saida district shortly after a nearby attack on Qanarit, according to Al Jazeera Arabic, as Israeli operations continued across multiple regions.

US uses bunker-buster bombs on Iranian missile sites along Hormuz The US military said it used 5,000-pound guided bunker-buster bombs to strike Iranian missile sites along the Strait of Hormuz, targeting positions that posed a threat to international shipping, CNN reported.  “US forces successfully employed multiple 5,000-pound deep penetrator munitions on hardened Iranian missile sites,” US Central Command said, adding the sites housed anti-ship cruise missiles. A US official told CNN that the weapons used were GBU-72 Advanced 5K Penetrator bombs designed to destroy deeply buried targets.

Larijani’s son, aide killed in Israeli attack in Tehran Iranian officials said Ali Larijani was killed in an Israeli attack along with his son, Morteza, and one of his aides, according to state media and the Supreme National Security Council. Iran’s foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, said the killings would not shake the political system, saying it is built on institutions.
