The report added that Washington has known for months that Israel’s interceptor supply could become a problem during a prolonged conflict. While Israel’s defensive arsenal is reportedly being depleted, the United States still has sufficient interceptor reserves of its own.
US regulator threatens broadcasters over Iran war coverage The head of the Federal Communications Commission has attacked US news broadcasters and warned they could lose their licences over coverage of the war involving Iran. FCC chair Brendan Carr accused media outlets of spreading misinformation after US President Donald Trump criticised reports about Iranian strikes damaging US military aircraft in Saudi Arabia. Writing on the social platform X, Carr warned broadcasters to change their reporting before upcoming licence renewals. “Broadcasters that are running hoaxes and news distortions - also known as the fake news - have a chance now to correct course before their license renewals come up,” Carr wrote. “The law is clear,” he added. “Broadcasters must operate in the public interest, and they will lose their licenses if they do not.”

Iran envoy mocks Ukraine drone offer in Middle East war as a 'joke' Iran’s envoy in Ukraine has dismissed Kyiv’s offer to help counter Iranian-designed drones in the Middle East, calling the proposal meaningless. Speaking to AFP, Iranian diplomat Shahriar Amouzegar criticised Ukraine after it highlighted its experience shooting down Shahed drones used by Russia in the war in Ukraine. Relations between Tehran and Kyiv remain strained. In 2022, Ukraine stripped the Iranian ambassador of accreditation and reduced diplomatic ties after accusing Iran of supplying drones to Russia.
