Wang urged both sides to remain calm and exercise restraint, hold face-to-face talks as soon as possible, seek an immediate ceasefire and address differences through dialogue, according to the statement.

Significant damage in Israel as Iran, Hezbollah launch joint attack Rockets struck northern Israel near the Lebanese border, with damage reported in the Upper Galilee region by Al Jazeera.  Authorities also reported damage in central and southern parts of the country, including fires in Lod and damage to a Bedouin village in the Negev Desert. Reports said cluster munitions launched from Iran scattered submunitions across several areas, causing additional damage as air defences failed to intercept them.
